2005 EXPO OSA TURISMO IN COSTA RICA

An excellent opportunity for travel agencies, tour operators and foreign guests

The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) and the Osa Chamber of Tourism (CATUOSA) on July 14 sponsored THE 2005 EXPO OSA TURISMO CONFERENCE at the Radisson Europa Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The event, in its ninth year, featured participants from nearly 40 different businesses presenting their new offers and tour packages. The Expo is an excellent opportunity for travel agencies, tour operators and foreign guests.

“Each year dozens of visitors attend the expo in search of the best options to satisfy the demands of today’s tourists,” said Luis Centeno, CATUOSA President.

Osa is located on the southeastern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, with 166 kilometers of beach lined by vast expanses of virgin rain forest and biodiversity. The area draws more than 300,000 each year, all seeking a chance to relax in complete contact with nature.

Nearby are numerous national parks, including Corcovado, Piedras Blancas, Marino Ballena, Isla de Caño and the Terraba Sierpe Mangroves, the largest stretch of mangroves in Central America. Also nearby are a mysterious collection of stone spheres whose origin, magnitude and circumference continue to puzzle scientists to this day.
