CARIBFEST: the Mega Musical event of the Year

Central America is getting ready for CARIBFEST – a mega musical celebration of Caribbean rhythms that will soon become the best musical festival in the region and an annual tradition on the marvelous island of Roatan in the Honduran Bay Islands.

The Coral Cay Nature Park is already preparing to host the grand event and is building the center stage where thousands or spectators will dance and enjoy on August 5 and 6, dates that make the making of musical history in the Caribbean.

These croups have already confirmed their participation in the program: Elefante, Bacilos, AB Quintanilla & the Kumbia Kings, Rómulo Castro & Tuira, Maridalia Hernández of the Dominican Republic, Millennium Band of Jamaica, Dashitai and DJ Sy, Aurelio Martínez, Ragamoffin Killas and Guillermo Anderson of Honduras, among other groups.

Hotels and restaurants throughout the island are preparing special events and promotions to make the event even more unique and unforgettable.

Tourists will enjoy continual transportation between points across the island and the festival venue, which is located just 8 minutes from Roatan’s international airport in Dixon Cove. Participating hotels will also be providing regular shuttle service.

Festival-goers arriving to Honduras by plane can find all of the information the need about their trip at the websites www.visitehonduras.com or www.letsgohonduras.com. Both sites include information about how to get to Roatan from airports throughout Honduras.

Ferry service is also available from La Ceiba for travelers who wish to travel in comfort and safety at a more economic price than airfare.

Organized by the Honduran Institute of Tourism, CARIBFEST promises to be the best show in the Central American Caribbean.
